1. Classified according to the working principle or structural characteristics of relays:
(1) Electromagnetic relay: an electrical relay that works by the suction effect generated by the current in the input circuit between the iron core of the electromagnet and the armature.
(2) Solid relay: a relay in which the input and output are isolated and the electronic components perform their functions without mechanical moving components.
(3) Temperature relay: a relay that operates when the external temperature reaches a given value.
(4) Tongue spring relay: a relay that opens, closes or converts the line with tongue spring action that is sealed in the tube and has the dual role of electric shock reed and armature magnetic circuit.
(5) Time relay: when the input signal is added or removed, the output part needs to be delayed or limited to the specified time to close or disconnect its controlled line relay.
(6) High-frequency relay: a relay with minimum loss for switching high-frequency and RF lines.
(7) Polarization relay: a relay that operates under the comprehensive action of the polarized magnetic field and the magnetic field generated by the control current through the control coil. The direction of action of the relay depends on the direction of the current flowing through the control coil.
(8) Other types of relays: such as optical relay, acoustic relay, thermal relay, instrument relay, Hall effect relay, differential relay, etc.
2, according to the size of the relay classification:
(1) Micro relay: the longest side size is not more than 10 mm relay.
(2) Ultra-small micro relay: the longest side size is greater than 10 mm, but not greater than 25 mm relay.
(3) Small micro relay: the longest side size is greater than 25 mm, but not greater than 50 mm relay.
Note: For sealed or enclosed relays, the external dimensions are the maximum dimensions of the three mutually perpendicular directions of the relay body, excluding the dimensions of mounting parts, outlet, rib, flange, flanging and sealing solder joints.
3. According to the load of relay, it is divided into:
(1) Micro-power relay: when the contact open-circuit voltage is 28V DC, (resistive) is 0.1A, 0.2A relay.
(2) Weak power relay: when the contact open circuit voltage is 28V DC, (resistance) is 0.5A, 1A relay.
(3) Medium power relay: when the contact open-circuit voltage is 28V DC, (resistance) is 2A, 5A relay.
(4) High-power relay: when the contact open circuit voltage is 28V DC, (resistance) is 10A, 15A, 20A, 25A, 40A...... The relay of the
4, according to the protection characteristics of relay classification:
(1) Sealing relay: using welding or other methods, the contacts and coils are sealed in the cover, isolated from the surrounding medium, the leakage rate is low relay.
(2) Enclosed relay: a relay that is protected by sealing (non-sealing) the contacts and coils with a cover shell.
(3) Open relay: no protective cover to protect the electric shock and coil relay.
The most commonly used relays in electronic production are electromagnetic relay and reed relay.

The new relay refers to the electromagnetic relay developed and produced in order to meet the new special requirements and meet the use under special environmental conditions. Its main characteristics are small volume, light weight, vibration resistance, shock resistance, load range from low level load to 5A, 28V rated load, and the product has reliability index (failure rate level) requirements. The product adopts resistance fusion welding or laser fusion welding sealing air-tight sealing structure, mainly used in electronic control equipment signal transmission and weak current power switching.

There are many types of relays, which can be divided into voltage relay, current relay, time relay, speed relay and pressure relay according to the input quantity, electromagnetic relay, induction relay, electric relay and electronic relay according to the working principle, and control relay and protection relay according to the purpose. According to the input quantity change form can be divided into whether there is a relay and measuring relay.

The relay coil is represented in the circuit by a long box symbol, and if the relay has two coils, two long boxes are drawn side by side. At the same time, mark the relay word symbol "J" in or beside the long box. There are two ways to represent the contacts of relays: one is to draw them directly on one side of the long box, which is more intuitive.
